[Bestest Youtubes] Female Vet Harassed For Parking In Space For Vets

=========================

I have to admit, I don't really get people who're eager to grow up to be a soldier.I mean, okay, defending your country I get. But saying, "When I grow up, I want a job where killing other people is expected of me!" is just...ehhh...well, I know I'd find that distasteful, anyway. If only the world could sttle their differences peacefully; I know I'd have joined the US Checkers Team or the Naval Ping-Pong Unit, if that's how wars were won. Eagerly....but signing up to go kill? Couldn't do it. Morally, I mean; it's not a matter of cowardice. I just find the idea icky.

+mssunnylunarain7He was judging!! he says "We worship the military" "The opposite of free democratic-republic" Really?? I don't worship the military, I doubt you do either. I think, you and I respect the military, and give thanks for those who serve. Maybe it's just me who does, and that's fine too.

Well he was speaking the truth on that. We do worship it compared to other countries. Not like a god, but very very feel overwelming levels of dedication to all of its purposes. We think talking bad about anything involving the military is disrespect the entire thing and the country itself which is not the case. I read through his comment again and I think it was reasonable. You aren't the only one you gives thanks. We all do, but it doesn't mean we have to like the means that were used to achieve it. That is where the violence lies. I love my dad (who is retired, but fought in Vietnam) and I'm proud of the fact the he was defending us, but I hate method, I hated the violence. He agreed. He said civilians got hurt, children, the list goes on. War is not pretty and we shouldn't enjoy or respect killing-ever. Its a necessity. We don't want death.

In Ireland, its impossible to tell a vet from a normal civilian walking down the road.. We don't put our soldiers on pedestals like we owe them something, they weren't made join the army.. It was their choice to join, they wanted to.I also don't understand Americans flying their flag outside their houses all year round.. If someone flew an Irish flag (and we weren't playing a rugby match).. They'd be abused.. Blind Patriotism is ridiculous.. Americas going down the shitter and theyre trying to convince themselves its amazing..

+KoopaSteve You need to also show the source...and what criteria they are using to determine this. Considering Hong Kong is in China......it's already a bit suspect btw.

+Bill ConnorHong Kong is a very strange place, it is at a stage of independence that it is considered a country, also here is my sourcehttp://www.heritage.org/index/ranking

its funny how Americans get so crazy over their serving the country in the military, almost like how they do in North Korea and other Communist and Socialist countries where those who serve in the military get special treatment and get held up as the example to the people.

WEll it's a big deal in the US because compared to like S. Korea or Singapore or Greece or Finland the US does not have mandatory military service. Soo it's all volunteer. That's a big deal for me. That fact that we are able to get people willing to join.

+lordblazerit's actually not really that hard... just have enough poor people around and joining the military seems nicer than what you were doing. I know plenty of guys who did it because of that reason.

No unnecessary Wars = No Wounded VetsSince WW2 no Wars were necessary.

Korean war maybe?

that simply isn't true.

Fuck American vets. They're nothing more than a bunch of uneducated xenophobes with low self esteem that go out, kill a bunch of innocent men, women and children, and walk around asking for praise. In reality they're a bunch of war criminals that should be behind bars.

You're so funny though, honestly, you're not pathetic at all.

bad shit does happen, but there was this one case where a man at the store was being racist to a Muslim clerk and the recently-returned veteran standing there is the one who defends the clerk and calls the guy out on his racism

Women in the military are useless, they do less PT and they don't do as much heavy lifting.

You are an idiot.

+James Brooks Hate to break it to you.....but the Japanese didn't need to be very bigor strong to kick our asses out of every major area at the start of the war. Same with the Vietnamese. PT doesn't mean shit.

Most veterans are ptsd ridden idiots who were originally too stupid to be productive members of society anyway.

Yeah, they need someone like you who will shiver in your panties at the thought of a loud bang.

In here Finland, we call veterans those, who really fought for this country, like we defended our country 2 times agains Russia, your number one enemy, that you are scared more than global warming, your culture is so weird.Nah, your "veterans" are paid mercenaries raping and robbing middle east, driving those people from their homes to deprave Europe. You need to be in the level of retarded turkey not to understand that.Fkin idiot.Shame on you and your "honored" vets.

+Bill ConnorUsa don't have dark points, the whole country is covered in black.

+OnlyDeathIsEternal That's funny. Especially considering everyonein the US came from somewhere else.

If you're a soldier in Britain, and you walk down a street, you will be harassed. I respect our soldiers, but check yourself to see you aren't respecting them for the wrong reasons.

+John MThis coming from the guy who made the biggest most idiotic generalization about the armed forces, based on an anecdote about someone he use to know. Get lost, twat.

+MrCool MugI said some. It's pretty much a fact that the British armed forces targets teenagers with no qualifications who live in council houses. I mean haven't you seen all the ads?

I take offense to this on every level. My mom and dad are golf war vets, hell I was almost born in Saudi Arabia because of that (one day off because I wanted to be born on the freest soil on the planet) and my brother served 13yrs and just got back from Kuwait in july and we live in NC. Nc has the highest military population due to our bases so for him to assume she is not a vet is actually nonsensical.

+videogameplyr1234And yet we've had less murders than in the USA, own more guns per capita and are really free to express oursleves. Only 'freedom' you have in the states is tax evasion if you're a sexual predator. I mean religious nutjob that opens a 'church' to roll in money.

+Dizzy_D_DizzyCrime in general has been going down. People are far more likely to die of a gun than a knife so I don't know why you are saying that as if it's just as much of a problem.Aggression is a personality trait, of course guns don't make people more violent. but a lot of accidents happen and it escalates the situation.

I can understand the spaces for those with mobility impairments, but veteran spaces? I understand that they should be treated with respect as we all should, but giving them special spaces is special treatment. Whether they are disabled or not. Many businesses do reserve parking spaces for staff anyways.

Yeah, exactly. I mean if he was wounded and IS handicapped, he'd already be entitled to the handicapped spot anyway...

Hmmmmmm....You seem to find enjoyment in TELLING OTHER PEOPLE WHAT TO DO WITH THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTY. I would like to see you come up to me (or anyone with a backbone) and try to tell me what kind paint job I put on my car or how I arrange my front lawn.

In England vet is nearly always short for veterinarian.

+TrueWOPRwell,atleast not anymore

Vet is short for Veterinarian as well here in America. Vet just has two meanings and it just depends on context of the conversation. "Hey man, I just got back from taking my dog to the Vet." or "I served in the military, I'm a vet." Even typing Vet into google gives me a full page of Veterinarian locations around my area. It's silly to think us americans only have one meaning for a word. Ya tosser.

Veteran = Former murderer.

+ERAUPRCWAI do know what I am talking about. I am talking about what the rest of the world talks about. (minus MUHRIKA & Israhell)

another "brilliant" troll.

Military pay isnt quite enough to cover potential life loss or permanent injuries, so things like military discount and vet parking help a little

Exclusive veterans parking don't help is a mere placebo, better give veterans a decent retirement plan.

Most miltary jobs do not have that risk.Staying in an aircraft carrier or being a mechanic doesn't seem that threatening.I remember a guy who was useless in highschool a retarded jerk. He went to the miltary and got out. He became homeless and blamed the war. The fact is he would have been homeless out of Highschool because he was useless. So really any money from the miltary is probably more than a lot of these guys can make in the private sector

Most join the military to earn a living while making a difference... I've been "in country" a few times throughout my career but I've also helped build orphanages, roads and bridges in third world countries when I wasn't.The average child born today, in America, will consume up to 13 times more resources throughout his entire lifetime than a child born in brazil. In fact it's said that a child born in the US has a greater effect on the environmentthan a dozen children born in any developing country. Why? American corporate protectionism and Americans feed it with their consumer choices, than ask others to risk their life to keep the flow coming. If you want a better world, you might want to consider where you spend your money.

+Bill Connor...and a north American Indian isn't Indian

+Plebeian Some parts of the US are far from industrialized. The place isn't perfect. Gun restriction? It doesn't appear to be helping Brazil from what I'm seeing.

I thought it was a VET as in veterinarian ...and there was a female Vet parking problem . However after i watched the video i got even more confused thinking ... why do they have a parking lot for veterans . Does PTSD limit their ability to walk couple of meter's from a far parking location? If the person is handicapped then allocate more handicapped parking lots ... but what the hell .I dont get Muricans .

+engineeredlifeform hahaha best comeback ever

I personally don't give a fuck about veterans, quit putting them on a pedestal.

+CorruptedPersonabecause I have that stupid mentality most people have , generalization/stereotyping and I have been talking so muchshit on the military and I just read that comment and it made me feel really bad.

Yeah I know, in a country where 50% of people are overweight they all simply have 'genetic issues'.You realize that if that amount of people all have the same genetic defect, its not a defect. It's part of being human.Which it's obviously not because just a few decades ago people weren't lard-asses.And Liberals claim to love science... except when it contradicts their dogma.

i dont think you understand how genetics work.

Source of your facts and claims?

Honestly there shouldn't be handicapped parking either. Yeah it sucks that they are handicapped, that doesn't mean that by law every business is forced to have empty handicapped parking spaces everywhere for handicapped people. And then if they don't have enough handicapped parking, some idiot files a lawsuit against the business. When you try to legislate compassion, what you get is anything but compassion.

+EnigmaHood butare the lawsuits specifically regarding parking or is it other things? From what I remember is wasn't the parking.

+Bill ConnorIt was for parking and a few other things. That wasn't the only lawsuit filed because of the ADA though.

Typical day for TYT and their retarded fans.hating on vetsHating on copshating on whiteyHating on menHating AmericaThe hate the liberals have for anything American is what makes them commies.

Typical conservative bigot. Bitching because a show is talking about true stuff.

The funny thing is....has anyone here actually been around "real" young turks? I have.....they hang out in groups and usually carry knives and don't smell too good. They do NOT like whites and will cut you up for nothing.

Not all "wounded vets" otherwise known as Disabled Veterans get a disabled plate. I know for a fact that in the states of Arkansas and Indiana that you have to be 100% disabled to qualify for a disabled plate.....

+kronosx7 Ohhhh I don't know, for the last 50 or so years. And the video was about a veteran spot not a handicapped. Here take a look at the many Disabled Veteran tagshttps://www.google.com/search?q=disabled+veteran+tag&safe=off&biw=1143&bih=520&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=UlTCVI7XKsqpNpm_hPgN&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&dpr=0.9

Thank you. Idiots like Ana do not understand this simple fact.

It has been my experience as a Black veteran that people who run their mouth the most and harass others have done the least for their country and yet consider themselves patriotic like Rat News. They are the ones who are so eager to go to war but will not sign up.And 99.9% of them are white males and racist. And to Anna if a business wants to have a parking spots for veterans why in the hell should that bother you? Because you may have to walk a few extra feet.I have lived in extreme liberal California and they have parking spaces for pregnant women and for women with children but I bet that doesn't bother you.As far as I'm concerned someone who has made it through basic training has accomplished more than you ever will. And I don't believe the "wounded vet" quote he is probably a faker. And to JR I know you said you didn't have a problem with vets getting free stuff but you mentioned it.Multimillionaire celebrities get free stuff all the time, free food free clothes free jewelry worth 10's of thousands of dollars.I don't understand why any of you would have a problem with someone else or a business showing a little appreciation to a veteran for choosing a life YOU couldn't handle maybe it's jealousy.

Because a lot of white people like to run off at the mouth about Black people calling us unpatriotic and other B.S and they don't know what the hell they are talking about they believe everything they hear on talk radio and see on TV. That's why I said they talk the most and do the least.

+W44F You could have substituted white for ANY race or group and it would have still been valid.

The only vets i respect are the wwII vets they were the only ones that they fought for something! Stupid soldiers of now are shit that kill innocent people and invade countries for no reason! Well re thinking about this, hmm i think all veterans are shit! They kill innocent people and they call it collateral damage to get away from it!

Soldiers of any era do what they are told by the government in power at the time. Hasn't changed.

Soldiers don't make policy.

#firstworldproblems Isnt that ironic? The world is a mess, someone should do something about it - lets send in our military... (as if it was the world police)Oh damn thats some horrible stuff you saw. PTSD? Oh well, walk it off soldier. But respect the guy! He nearly died for your freedom spreading freedom (or making place for that next dictator lolz, based on our inept politics). Now give him free stuff and respect - hope it doesnt make him arrogant and entitled.Let's make him work in the police force, where they also first shoot and ask questions later.Fck, there are imposters now using uniforms to get what they want for free? Big surprise. Not impressed. When you stick your hand into a wasp nest, it doesnt matter how high tech your hand is - you always pull out more mess than you cleaned up. And so are military solutions to world problems: it always drags out the wrong way, even if you win the war.You won the 2nd world war along with Russia, but it was economics that solved the problem. The middle east has economic, religious and military problems. In a land with that many weapons, you need a combination of all to solve that problem. That also includes tackling the bully in the area: Israel.

+Mortiis558I should say since Vietnam no one has forced them.

The peace was deadlier than the war.

Americans idolize their military like some 3rd world dictatorship. I wouldn't be surprised if Americans would be in favor of martial law. America and war have become mutually inclusive.

+fallout2029Care to refute anything or do you have pure ad hominem?

i fuking HATE this women, she is annoying, semi ugly, liberal and act like her poon dont stink, well let me remind you biatch, your ass hole is right by your pooter, so it does stink.

from the troll on roids.

Never go full retard.

You don't serve anything in the military. You are hired killers for corporations. The American Revolution, WW2, and the Cold War were the only just wars America has fought; all others were conquests for corporations(ex. oil) or political capital for the party in power.Enough with this blind military worship. You are honoring hired killers; it's sick. Vets who are not handicapped should not have any special privileges.JR is usually the dimmest bulb in the room but he actually made the best point here. Its totally a recruitment tool. Losers want power and respect so they join the military.

Wow, you are incredible ignorant of what goes on in the military. Honestly, you really don't know and more than likely don't care to understand.

"The American Revolution, WW2, and the Cold War were the only just wars America has fought"What a simplistic view of history you have. History, that's that subject you used to sleep through in school, remember?

It's actually really hard to get a handicapped sticker unless you are missing limbs, but so many more injuries exist than just missing limbs and having a spot so I can get into a store fast and get out before the crowd gets to me is nice to have ~thanks,Ana & Dave

+DaHuntsman1I'm curious who's doing that? Our military isn't for sure.

+Ginzington SchnizerIf you wouldn't do that, why would you expect others to do so, there is a reason why we give servicemembers so many benefits, because they are expected to serve in absolutely insane circumstances to either protect americans or secure american interests, you may not agree with the reason why they are there, but hating the soldiers for doing their jobs is absolutely uncalled for. If anyone deserves blame, its the politicians who send others kids to die while sending their own to Ivy league colleges, and by extension of that, the American citizens who elect those kinds of politicians over and over again, expecting shit to change.

Funny, when I was being deployed, I had to wear my uniform to the airport. It was one of the worse experience I ever had. Everywhere I turned there was someone screaming anti war rhetoric. There is some me peoplein America that hate us but the reason most of us sign up is for you. Every once in a while someone will come up to me and thank me, and that makes my day. You don't have to give me anything free, I don't want it.I just wish people wouldn't treatus like shit when they see us. I don't want war, I just want to protect you all of you. I love my fellow Americans even the ones who hates the military.

+TrueWOPRWithout any evidence, you can't even support the concept of "most". There are many technical jobs in the military that require intelligence and in order to get into those jobs, you have to take many tests to have it. You can become an engineer, radio/satellite communicator, pilot, doctor, nurse, cook, and law enforcement in the military, among other professions that one can attain in the civilian world. Many of the persons whom join the military look for better options in life. My reasoning was to continue my education, while at the same time to serve my country. By being in the military I learned so much about procedure and how we're trained in combat... I was the one responsible for training ALL deploying (ARMY) units before they went overseas. When you understand the training and the personnel, you see a bigger picture of who US Forces truly are. Your point-of-view of the service members of the US is typical of someone whom is ignorant and only uses their dislike of the government as a means to dislike the the individual soldiers whom are just trying to make it by in life, sometimes putting their lives on the line.

+TrueWOPRThats bullshit and you know it, the majority of jobs in the military are support roles, and there are about 20 support personnel for every soldier in the field fighting, and even the soldiers need at the very least a highschool degree to join, and for the most part, many people join the military as a way to pay for college.

I dunno I disgaree with Anna. To be honest our country has failed them a lot. Soo the free stuff they get, and the discounts they get. Well they deserve it. Shit I served in Peace Corps but I respect miliary vets a whole lot. I couldn't do it. Atleast the mess I put up with in Peace Corps I could leave anytime.

As a veteran I have to say I don't really see the point of having reserved spaces for Veterans at a grocery store. I could understand it in only specific scenarios;1. Parking in front of a VA clinic or other building that is dedicated to Vet Services.2. Any town that is neighboring a mil base where vets have recently returned from over seas. I could understand them temporarily reserving a section out of respect for them and potentially using it as a marketing scheme to get vets to eat at their restaurants or shop at their grocery stores. That's all I've got.. other then those I just don't find such a measure to be needed. We're vets we're used to walking.

The military is a breeding ground for neo-conservative theocratic dumbassery, so I'm not at all surprised that someone would do this.

A real democracy, a real country for peace and the benefit of its people would ban a standing military.Like Costa Rica which banned its military completely under its constitution and instead of spending billions on weapons, tanks and missiles they use it for education and health care.Guess what? Costa Rica has a better health care than the US and its universally available to anyone, foreign or national. But its ok, the US can continue to spend billions on smart missiles while they have millions of homeless people starving on the streets, what a smart society that is...

+Emigdiosback so? whats wrong with that?

+Biankitodo you honestly need to understand what's wrong with that?here's one thing: Modern Russia is NOT the USSR. Back then, they were one of the two most influential superpowers. now, they're just power-grabbing. don't believe me? look at Georgia, Crimea, and Eastern Ukraine. When you call out America's imperialistic attitudes, don't be a hypocrite and instead, call out Russia on their own imperialistic attitudes.

lol ithought whore anna was being sarcastic. but she is really a full on retard lol.. teachers and doctors do have reserved parking spots you stupid hooker omg this was funny

handicapped parking is unconstitutional. as is "vet parking" you shouldnt regulate what someone does with their own property. and you shouldnt regulate courtesy. but i cant blame the wounded vet in this. women make up less than 20% of the military. this is the rare exception where the woman who parked there is a vet. quit sex baiting your bullshit TYT

I get judged all the time..i have a disability and i refuse to give in and use a wheelchair even though its painful and a struggle to walk. I have a disabled badge and because, although in my late 30s, i look a lot younger i get abuse from people that i shouldnt use disabled spaces and when i show them my badge they make out im a liar. It hurts sometimes to be judged this way.

I see. Haughty and stubborn as well. Kids one autistic? What a lame (pun intended) excuse. Sounds like we have a martyr on our hands.

You really are a nasty piece of work.

There already are assigned spots for doctors and teachers.

+neirad537That's what I was talking about. Vets went through hell in active duty. My dad did. He was treated like shit when he came back from Korea. He was drafted, he had no choice. He was a guard at a POW camp. He had to deal with 500 North Korean POW's with a rifle with five bullets. He had to psych them out, He got shot at by his own people. He had to deal with riots on a daily basis. He got knifed by a fellow soldier. He went through having a typhoon take down his guard tower as he was scrambling to get the two terrified R.O.C soldiers and himself down the stairs as it fell down on them. He came back with PTSD that left him with nightmares till he died. He wasn't harmed in body, but... (PTSD sucks, I know what it is like)I think soldiers deserve respect, especially in handicapped ones. And I'm in no way a war hawk. I don't have one single problem with the spots.

Not in that parking lot, I went there today.

The American near worship of soldiers and veterans puzzle me. Now I get that it is your culture and I understand that, however it seams strange to me that as soon as someone have been in the military they are somehow now a holy persona. It also amaze that even if you have idea idea of soldiers, why then do you not pay veterans who can not work due to physical and psychological wounds suffered enough for a worthy life? Why do you not provide enough medical help and psychological help for them? To me the whole thing seams a bit hypocritical, when it is about the parades and patriotic chest thumping and meaningless things like reserving some parking spots to pay a costless homage, then you worship your veterans like heroes, however when the time comes to pay a bit more taxes to actually help them recover from what they have been through so they can continue their lives as best you can then you cast them out into the cold. The whole thing is just odd to me.

I don't think that at all really. I agreed up until the end. As a vet myself this is just my opinion. But nobody wants what happened to the vietnam vets to happen to our vets now. After going to war in vietnam those vets had to come back and be disrespected by their own countryman. Thats why vietnam vets had a lot of the problems they did while back home. Nobody wants that to happen again and thats why we praise our troops now so much. imo

cool story bro

+David EdwardsFor every response you just prove my point more. How much time that you didnt have, have you wasted so far. LoL Its like you are a retard or something by not getting that.

Lies. Not all vets get benefits. My father in law is retired army and a retired truck driver. Two tours in Vietnam and two purple hearts. He just started getting benefits. Vietnam was a long time ago. We should have parking everywhere. We fight and die sometimes. You sit behind a camera and spread your bullshit opinion. Let us have the fuckin' parking spot.

Dd she have veteran plates on her car? For example: If you have a disability and no placard then you can't park in a handicap spot.I don't like people thanking me because it feels like an empty gesture from some who could never understand my experiences and is just a waste of both of our time. Let's just walk by each other in silence.

I think vets should have any social benefits at all - if they have any wounds they're going to carry for the rest of their lives then I'm fine with it, but if they just went to another country to kill some civilians and people suggested to be "terrorists", get payed for it and then get back to the USA just to leech on the economy and other people I got an issue with them !

If you honestly think that soldiers are sent just kill civilians for money you are retarded. That's counter productive and doesn't make any sense. You are incapable of grasping a basic of understanding war and global politics

+Spencer ChudykDon't call me retarded if you're even to stupid to differentiate between a spontaneous comment that only talks about a part of a topic (actually injured vets and vets who didn't do anything to earn benefits at all) and a well based argument (which would include all aspects which are to debate on, takes a few minutes to form). And that it wouldn't make sense is right, but that's actually what happened over and over again with many soldiers - there's not much to debate on this...That you'd just call me incapable of anything just based on a comment like this says pretty much the same about you : you're incapable of examining a person first before making a conclusion on that person (and this conclusion is based on what you've written so far - you're what you're accusing other people to be...).

... Why are there even spaces reserved for combat veterans? I don't even get that... Why? Whay have they done to deserve that? If they got injured... Sure. But that's what handicapped spots are for.I'm not trying to be disrespectfull, but... I just don't get it. They did a job. That's all...

The majority of veterans usually dont even want to be put up on a pedestal, i know my dad never did, he just did a job after all, but its small tokens of thanks and respect that really go far.

If the guy who wanted the spot was handicap, he had a right to be upset. Just because you served a few years and it's been a few years since, doesn't make you a vet..... A vevtren is someone who spent most of there life in war and now is no longer able to get around easier than someone who can still run laps around the parking lot..... Take the parking spot that's just a few feet away and stop being a stuck up bitch....

that's the big problem here. You don't actually have to be in service during a war or even see war time to be a veteran. All of these punks who went in for four years to have a paid college expenses and barely got past training are vets as well.

You don't fucking know that. She could be injured. Maybe she would have gone to the front lines if you let her.

Anna "DooDoos" On a regular basis.... Thanks for keeping us updated on your bowel movements Anna....

+Not a-TheistWhat's immature is when someone can't clearly think before speaking and ends up repeating one word twice in a row especially if its do do. And its funny that you can't even realize this :)

+Th3shootistIt's called being a human.People make mistakes when talking, just listen to her at the beginning. She says, "A womeington North Carolina women", now that is a funny slip up.

Air farce are just civilians in uniform. All people in the military know this, even the air force.

+Robo Pie You are mistaken. Professional rivarly.

+Serahpinlol

How is one note harassment? They just made a mistake.

+alex jacksonyeah but they make it sound like... well... harassment. The person who wrote the letter had good intentions, a lot of people pretend to be vets. But I understand TYT has an agenda to push.

+MrJarthbut the thing is how do you know who's a real vet from a COD player?

Ana is funny. We do have parking spots for Doctors and Teachers. Every time I visit the hospital all the good close spots are reserved for doctors and at my local Community College, all the close good spots are reserved for faculty - none for vets.... :)

Talking about recruitment tactics, my friend tried to get me to enlist with him and one of their top five reasons to join was getting girls. They stated off with protect America and free college but their closer was "bitches love Marines".

Well there's your problem, the Marines... All branches have different recruiting tactics and its based upon the personality of the individuals that you're speaking with. If you give off the impression that you care about girls and "respect", then you will get the "bitches love (insert branch)" talk. If you care about your education, college benefits will be pushed on you. YOU control how your recruiter speaks to you and tries to sell the service to you.

the parking spaces reserved for people with kids annoy the shit out of me. it's your choice to have kids and have all the disadvantages involved with kids- why should i have to park farther away because i didnt make that choice??

Usually the signs mention children or child, and as I am my mothers child i park and tell complainers to fuck off, sometimes politely.

+rahowhero sorry.....young children or child (I am young 40ish, as this label is contextual)

I park my car on liberal scum

+cne08 On liberal scum, though.

Just because you give an asshole a gun, and tell him it's okay to shoot people, doesn't turn that asshole into a hero.He was a whiny bitch before the military and now he's a whiny bitch that knows how to kill people. If it even is a vet and not some retard patriot who wants to be an injured vet, but is only a whiny bitch.

Sadly, we DVs aren't immune, we've got a crop of assholes too.

And I for one would be quite happy to never see another Budweiser, Guinness commercial, or yellow ribbon et al ad nauseum. I'm truly not trying to be crassly ungracious, because I do appreciate it all. Trouble is that it's all become a very trite jingoistic ad-campaign to see which side can out-Patriot each other in the Freedom Games. To paraphrase Bill Mahrer, :... you really wanna support the troops, how about bringing them the fuck home?"

The "Space Reserved" thingus is mostly just for PR for the business (probably a WalMart) who want to pull on the emotional senses of fair-weather patriots.

It's a Harris Teeter lot :3

+ednamode1234Hooah. Thanks for the clarification, didn't really look like a WamLart Lot. Never been to a Teeter, but I won't pass up a chance to pick on WalMart - not a big fan of that outfit.

How do we know that the person who wrote the note even knew she was a woman? they might have just used that spot a lot and wrote the note when they saw their spot was taken.

The 7 foot gap to the pavement, the damaged shop front, 2 smashed mirrors and dents on the corners of car were all clues.

All I am going to say that it is sad that in order to be honored as a vet you have to be injured in combat or be in your old age to get veteran status. That is stupid considering a lot of people come back from war zones completely fine. I think one should be honored as a vet after they serve their initial enlistment cause that means they stuck it out to the end and have some sort of dedication.

+mitch verrI love that example, thanks for making my point.

+Ginzington SchnizerI am so glad you think that everyone joins the military out of desperation. How about actually talking to actual soldiers other than listen to the media.

I wonder if that "Wounded Vet" was ever a member of the U.S. military? If so,how was it that he never noticed all the women in uniform who were serving right along with him?

maybe he's old

+Robo Pie I don't care how old he is. Who doesn't know that women serve in the U.S. military except someone who doesn't know the first fucking thing about the U.S. military?

The person who left the note is a jackass.

Ha ha ha why do your armed forces need to park closer to the mall? You would have thought if you can go into battle you can probably walk an extra hundred yards to the supermarket, also where would this stop parking spaces for respected ballet teachers? Where do the normal people park who don't wish to be recognised for all their achievements in life like I don't know breathing, crossing the road. For fucks sake disabled people who need to park closer to the shops should be able to. For everyone else park as close as you can. Besides how on earth can you tell what job someone does by looking at them unless they are actually wearing their work attire.

Vets get no respect, even. More so, women Vets get even less respect!

+NAVEMAN3Yeah but its getting there, the constant assumption of the military being filled with brainless grunts is incredibly dumb and disrespectful.

fuck y'all you ppl saying soldiers are not different from anyone else they def are they give there life there to protect you if they didn't do what they do you have no country to run your mouth in they give there life up even when they come home a lot of the time there dead inside they do a lot me then just kill ppl they help ppl all over the world too they help feed family's all over the world and back at home too i know i served and where i was stationed we ran a food pantry and we also cook to feed family's solider change lives for the good not just the bad so tell me what makes you anything close to a solider not a dam thing you know nothing of what your talking about when it comes too them and what they go through and try to do that's why i joined i wanted to help everyone i could go talk to a vet they will tell you and guy in the service does more then the young turks will ever do they are also anti american on anything in this country

Anna points out that people are quick to judge, while she and Dave are making that same mistake. Here in Canada we have veteran parking too, but you need a permit or special plates. If that's the case where Mary Clair Caine was, did she have the permit and was it visible? Or isthe veteran parking on thehonour system?Nothing in the note suggests that the "wounded vet"saw or assumed she was a woman, or had children with her. Maybe he thought it was permit parking, or perhaps he just noticed a young person park there and assumed they were too young to be a vet, or that it was a space meant for wounded vets. This may not bethe sexist issue the media is making it out to be.

She was in the Air Force, that really doesn't count as military service.

+Salma AatiahMe? Never. I don't like to see people hurt.

+degenret01it's good to hear :)

Is there a draft in America or is military service voluntary? If it's the latter, then the only veterans who deserve respect and admiration are those who fought in WW2.

It's been voluntary since Vietnam ended; and even then, you still have to admire those who chose to enlist instead of being forced into.also, not everyone engages in combat missions.

I always sort of laugh when people thank me for my service. I wish I can honestly say I joined to protect all your sorry asses but in truth I was just one of the million aimless youths of the world without anything better to do at the time.

And now you're just an aimless adult without anything better to do.

i think a good response would be "service? i got paid!"

More importantly who goes around carrying makers and paper?

*markers

I live in a huge military town (3 bases) and work with a lot of military people and GIs and veterans are the most entitled fuckers I've ever met.

My father served my country (Saudi Arabia) in some wars and he got nothing from government except $900 a month and he have no job now I think American vets get something better than my country vets even thou my country more richer

sexist sons of bitches.

So...it was amusing before you knew she was a veteran? If someone wants to set aside a parking spot for a veteran, why do you care? Be real, you don't respect military service. Our soldiers should come home and stop protecting people like you. You're not worth it, Ana.

Many veterans have gotten a shitty deal. If someone comes back and is doing poorly or is dealing with PTSD, I can understand their outrage at people who appear to continue to take advantage of them. Obviously, the note on the windshield was misdirected. I hope we reinstate conscription. If rich boys get mutilated or killed, maybe we will be a little less likely to go to war.

I agree, and in regards to what is said around 3:40 about the hostility and sense of entitlement in the letter, I think you gotta cut this guy some slack. So many veterans DO get a shitty deal. This guy identified himself as being wounded, and for all we know he is bitter, angry, and upset with the way he has been treated after returning, and is living poorly or having difficulty readjusting to a normal life after making a huge sacrifice for his country. If I place myself in this guy's shoes, I can imagine how infuriating it would be to see what is seemingly a regular citizen with her kids being lazy and parking in the Veteran parking spot for her own convenience, and how you might react out of anger when you feel so disrespected.Obviously this guy made an assumption and was wrong about it, but I can't fault him (or her) too much without knowing his situation and what compelled him to leave the note.

BECAUSE WOUNDED VETS NEED TO GO THROUGH THE VA TO GET SUCH PLACARDS. -_- So expect to get the placard about 3 months after you die.

Oh yeah and while we are at it we can end world hunger, get the arabs and israelis make peace, and send a manned mission to Mars. Oh and if we have time we can work on Jetpacks and hoverboards for everyone.

Most private parking is privately owned. They can put up parking spaces for anyone they want to.

Why? Because it's the least our country can do for someone who has risked their lives in pointless, Satanic, bullshit wars! I think Anna should have a separate space across a busy street.

In the UK we respect our forces and have great pride in them but we don't literally bow down to them like that..

Lol I never in my life seen a "for veterans only" parking space. This must just be something a business decided to do. Dont worry Ana, I wont take your parking space up front lol. Nor do I want/expect a space for me.

Also it doesnt say that the person that wrote the note was a wounded vet. They probably weren't even a vet at all

I kinda want to see the lady who got the note on her car walk up to the other vet and demand to show their rank, with her showing that she IS in fact a veteran and out-ranks the person

Women soilders, what a joke.

Bad trolls end up at the bottom of the comment section with only one response. .:( Try harder next time, Mr. Troll.

So real life troll? Bet it was just some ignorant jerk. North Carolina? It figures.

Handicap parking is OK but why sooo damn many. And I never see them using them. They pull right up to the store and unload.

Leaving an angry note is harassment? Fuck me.

Bea Arthur drove a truck and Julia Child was a British MI5 Agent all during WWII, and yet Bob Hope and others weren't allowed to be solderiers.

Recruiters target ALL youths, Ana. You think they ONLY want disadvantaged kids in the military? How do you think the military ever gets officers who have 4 year degrees then?

+OreoVIIIn the american military? Do I look stupid to you? Besides, when I was young enough to actually serve, I wasn't allowed to because back then they were stupid enough to think who you loved affected how well you could serve apparently. The closest I came was dating a recently promoted Colonel. Didn't work out sadly and sank any lingering desire to join (long story).Also...why the fuck would someone's military application get rejected over bad credit? I mean, you let lunatics in, but someone who's bad with money is a freaking no-no?

+ChakatBlackstarMore or less if you have a history of disciplinary problems or you have had issues with the police, the military wont touch you with a 10 yard stick, and trust me, if you have any pre-existing mental problems you're probably not even going to MEP's because the military simply doesn't want to deal with it.

In my country, Austria, we have parking spots - in underground garages and so on -specifically for women. They are usually broader and closer to the exit... #equality

They have to make the parking spots wider for women because women can't park to save their lives.

I don't park in spaces reserved for the handicapped, but the rest areavailable as far as I'm concerned. The spaces reserved close to the doors of a storefor pregnant womenare a joke.

+Sarah SIt's not something I simply "try", Sarah. I do notpark in handicapped spaces. The majority of people leave those spaces for people who truly need easier access.

Her vehicles license plate may not have been a veteran plate. Some choose not to change the registration to indicate they have served in any capacity

I chose not to, I don't want to be a target for someone's misguided hate and ignorance.

I have a question for anyone from the U.S.: is there a legal definition of what a veteran is in the United States?

A veteran is someone who has served in the United States Military, thats the only definition needed

sigh, dumbass rednecks strikes again

I decided to stop halfway through this video and watched my little pony instead of hearing about some person who went full retard.

bronie.

*our soldiers. I'm on my iPhone

guys dont leave notes.... it was a woman that complainedwe guys do dumber shit to show our frustration

agagag

So brave to serve your country dumbass leaders in their perpetual oils wars. But a coward not to sign the note.

respect our killer

What government needs, is to put money towards better medical care for our veterans, not reserved parking spaces.

The government doesn't spend money on parking spaces.

+CompassRoseOf course they do. Maybe not Veteran parking spots specifically, but you'd still need a bunch of bureaucrats to sort out handicap permits and another section to deal with the actual planning permission and zoning for parking spaces.

fuck all vet

First !

W R O N G!!!! More like 300th :) !

It does not matter it was not signed with a name so why even bother getting upset.

Fix the VA, then you can pretend to respect veterans.

So when will we get parking spots for child killers? Oh wait we have them.
