In the case of him being imprisoned atop Orthanc the Eagle in question is Gwaihir the Windlord, greatest of the Great Eagles during the Third Age. Gandalf is saved by Gwaihir, who rescues him from Orthanc.Technically Gandalf flies, but it is not because 'he turned into a bug'.Otherwise a very enjoyable episode of TableTop.

Not winning is fine, but when someone feels like they didn't even take part, its a failure.The using the two sets didn't seem to work all that well. Seems like it would have worked better to just use one set and play with people that knew that, and play a different game with Anne and Clare or done all pop culture and just have Wil officiate and someone play in his place.Maybe the game works fine in company that share the same amount of knowledge on the subject at hand, but in mixed company it looks like its a complete flop.

+Hector Cornejo It's kind of a borderline call. The tights or whatever you want to call the bodysuits, were blue. The tunics, gloves, boots, belt, and accessories were yellow. The tunics covered more visible area than the blue part. So I would call that predominantly. Others might say though that the blue was the predominant part of their costumes even though it's covered/unseen.

I sort of cringe every time Bonnie is on the show. When she was on for Fiasco she sort of ruined the story by trying to "win" the roleplaying game. Her style of gaming is just really not fun to watch. She gave Wil a hard time about the video game question because he was the only one that knew it but was cool taking the other weird categories like adopted children that no one else would know. We had a gamer like that at our tabletop night and decided to stop inviting him.

The non-MMO open world game idea would have been too easy for me. I could name at least 10 games even with the franchise/developer rule. Just name a bunch of RPGS.- Any Assassin's Creed / Far Cry / Watch Dogs from Ubisoft.- Any Grand Theft Auto / Red Dead Redemption + RDR DLC since they are considered separate, complete games from Rockstar Games (although they come from different branches of Rockstar)- Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim from Bethesda- Many Final Fantasies from Square Enix- Xenoblade Chronicles / Zelda from Nintendo- Dark Souls from whoever does Dark Souls.- Saints Row from... whoever does Saints Row.- Borderlands from... Gearbox?- Fable... again I don't know the franchise :(- Metal Gear Solid from Konami (although maybe not a sandbox game, I'd call it open world)- Spyro / Ratchet and Clank from InsomniacAaannd... that's about all that I can come up with off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's more. The knight figurine is necessarily stop motion, because it's a real object.So I guess the idea was to make all of it look like stop motion, so that it wouldn't look so odd to have super smooth CGI, in the same frame as a stuttering stop motion knight.Which I can see might look a bit weird to have some parts, but not others, stuttering while the rest of the animation is silky smooth.You know, it's a consistency thing. So that everything's running at the same frame rate. It does make sense and if they hadn't done it that way, then you'd quickly realise why they should have done it that way.But, that said, I don't know if it actually works here.It's a sound idea, but the frame rate - albeit consistent - is just slightly too low, I feel.Low frame rates can be like that, though. There's a threshold. 10fps looks awful, 15fps is stuttering but "Saturday Morning Cartoon" acceptable, 20fps is almost smooth.There's very little in it number-wise - just 5 or 10 extra frames - but it makes all the difference to the viewer experience.Not that the idea of a consistent frame rate was wrong, just that it was set a bit too low - the wrong side of "jarring".A few more frames per second on the knight stop motion, allowing you to raise the overall frame rate of the whole thing and it probably would have worked just swell.Good theory, slightly dodgy execution. Just a few more fps and no-one would really have noticed enough to complain. It's just ever-so-slightly below that "it's jarring" threshold.p.s. Or, of course, the other option would have been to just CG the entire thing, so you don't have to worry about the problems of trying to mix real world things with virtual things together.But, indeed, "hindsight is 20 / 20 vision", as they say. Technically Frankenstein wouldn't count as he is more of a zombie, rather than being brought back to life under the rules that were described.

Either the monster was not resurrected to his former self, this making him a zombie for lack of a better word. Now Freddy Kruger was brought out of the dream world and into reality, so in some way that would have been a better choice for an answer. Still enjoyed the episode, although I wish it would have been the full version. Maybe in a future video we will get to see it all.

I wouldn't want to play this for one reason, some of those questions I know that me and my friends could just go up and up and up in the question until it took us hours just to finish one card. With title with characters who can fly I had 20 done in the time it took them to say the 25 with their speed editing and I wasn't even close to exhausting my supply.They didn't even mention Super Girl, Iron Man, He-Man, Condorman, Captain America 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Fluber, any fighter plane or pilot stories (it said 'Titles in which a character can fly,' not 'superheroes who can fly.') Seriously, I would have limited it to flying without an airplane/space ship and still can go beyond 25, heck, even disallowing mechanical suits, which kicks out Booster Gold, Condorman, and Iron Man, I've still got a ton left).

BUT, it's 50th anniversary special, that was released on theaters and is about the same length is not... It is an episode. Why? Because BBC say it is a episode...

I wouldn't have counted Captain America because his first movie was HIS first movie, despite the fact that it took place before Iron Man. I would have gone with The Thing.

On that last one both Frankenstein and Lois Lane don't count. With Lois she died, but she isn't brought back to life, super man flies so fast he turns back time to when she was alive so he could save her. Frankenstein is assembled from the corpses of many dead people, and is brought to life as an entirely new being, having none of the memories or personalities of the people he was assembled from.

Mr. Weaton, first of all I would like to thank you. I thank you for the awesome table top videos and the many fun and happy moments that was privileged to me by you and your amazing board games. I can say that my love for board games only really did flourish because of your videos. Unfortunately now days video games occupies too much space which once were the board game's, they also take away the great and exclusive topping that comes from board games which is the social interaction between good friends and that is truly sad. Forgive me, I speak to much. I just wanted to thank you and to suggest to you (if you can or want) to play munchkin again, but on a whole new level, the Epic Munchkin. That is the mode where you add various munchkin titles (like munchkin cowboys, sci-fi, pirates, mission impossible, Conan and etc) and play it together. There is minor changes to the rules when you play such game, but I'm sure it would be a lot of fun and a great addition to your series. Thank you again for all your wonderful work and I hope that you have much much more happiness and table top. :)

In a Song of Ice and Fire, Jojen Reed doesn't become a warg, he is a green seer who has prophetic dreams. There are wargs in a Song of Ice and Fire that can get into the body of flying animals like eagles, but still I don't think a character that gets into the mind of someone who flies counts as a character that flies.

While this particular game certainly doesn't fall within the categories of games I prefer, I nonetheless (for the most part) enjoyed watching them play it.Often those with whom you play are as integral (if not more integral) to the game's enjoyment as the game itself. Sometimes a mediocre game is more enjoyable played with the right people, than an otherwise fantastic game played with the wrong people.Incidentally, I have recently acquired seven of the games I've watched played on Tabletop, none of which I'd been previously aware.

BTW, I would very much enjoy seeing Wil game with some of his old TNG friends. Him battling against (or co-oping with) Spiner, Dorn, and Frakes would be incredible. Wouldn't matter if the game was "Old Maid" -- it would be a riot. (Wishful thinking, I know.)

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the game selection for this episode. This is a bare bones trivia game that didn't seem very original or inspired. With all the great, unique games that are usually featured on tabletop - this one left me feeling a bit meh...

I like that they showcase games for casuals, they even used this as a crossover between two worlds.

technically all they had to do was state the title that had a character that could fly. They said what character it was to show they knew what they were talking about. So technically they were absolutely correct in there answer. just the wrong person in the explaination.

Regardless, this episode was hard to watch. They even decided to shuffle the decks and use one card halfway through, realizing what they were doing was nonsensical. Not technically a prequel, if we consider that Spock's (Leonard Nimoy) story is continuous from the previous films. It may look to be based in a time before hand from one perspective, however from Spock's it is his present continuing. Now if it had been TV show prequel series we could have had Enterprise.

Wonder Woman has had the power to fly like Hermes since the 60s. How she gets those powers varies from incarnations.

The question simply asked for a title in which a character can fly. It doesn't say "flies by there own ability" so yes any book that was people on a plane would technically count. Even if you argued that "the character has to actually pilot the aircraft to count" would still count any book with planes in it due to the fact the unspoken pilot is still a character and is still part of the book therefore the title has a character that flies.
